Nestify ran an Airbnb property management service with outdated technology. They hired us to build and integrate a scalable on-demand mobile app (for independent cleaning contractors) with a full-service property management platform (for landlords).
Fragmented UX that includes guests, cleaners and landlord profiles on multiple 3rd-party platforms had to be transformed into a seamless user journey.
Manual cleaner management (e.g. shift allocation, property access, job scope) had to be automated for cleaners in 30 cities across multiple countries.
Landlords wanted to track the performance and manage availability of their properties. We had to develop a user-friendly timesaving way to do this.
Cleaners had to be given access to properties remotely, which had to be revoked after cleaning. A 3rd-party Internet-of-Things solution was required.
A complex network of financial flows (3rd-party platform bookings, cleaning fees, maintenance, landlord payouts) had to be merged in a manageable way.
Nestify had to be able to track and manage claims (e.g. broken furniture) reported by landlords or guests via channels like Airbnb or Bookings.com.
The task manager feature allows administrators to manage the categories of cleaning work to be done across a property portfolio. Cleaner shifts are then automatically generated based on these settings and the property layout. This has saved the Nestify team an enormous amount of work.
At the end of each shift, cleaners were invited to share feedback about the job.
Insights: We learned that cleaners liked the scope of work since it made the job expectations super clear. They were also happy with the reporting tool which gave them a feeling of accomplishment.
They did however sometimes find it hard to associate work instructions with the right room when there were multiple bedrooms for example. We solved the issue by adding photos.
CobbleWeb managed to build a strong foundation for Nestify to scale their business and provide all their users with a much improved experience.
Cleaners and property managers are more productive, landlords waste less time and make more money, all of which helped the platform increase its revenue substantially.
